Dear Residents:

Beginning on Monday, May 11, 2020 workers from the Tamaqua Borough will start a project to replace approximately 75 ft. of the retaining wall that has collapsed or is in poor condition along the Schuylkill River on Water Street. Water Street will be closed to thru traffic for the duration of the project.

Residents who live on Pine Street will not have access to their garages on Water Street during the project. There will still be access to the parking lot for the Majestic House and access to East Rowe St.

If you have any questions you may call the Borough Office at 570.668.0300.

On behalf of the Borough of Tamaqua I would like to thank you for your cooperation regarding this project.

Sincerely,

Robert D. Jones
Public Works Director
