CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION
Notice is hereby given that the Borough of Tamaqua Police Civil Service Commission will be conducting a Civil Service Examination for the position of Full Time Police Officer on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 7 p.m., prevailing time, at the Tamaqua Municipal Building, 320 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, PA 18252.
All applicants for the examination must submit a completed application form. Application forms are available at the Tamaqua Municipal Building, 320 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Application forms must be returned to the Borough Manager's office no later than Friday, June 18, 2021 at 4 p.m. A $35.00 fee will be charged for each application submitted and must be
paid at the time of submission.
Checks must be payable to the "Borough of Tamaqua". Applicants for testing must be a U.S. citizen, must have completed Act 120 training, be at least 21 years old, possess a high school diploma or a GED, and must have a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License.
Applicants must meet M.P.O.E.T.C. physical standards. Selected applicants will undergo a credit check, a character and background investigation, an interview before a review board, a physical fitness test, a medical examination, and a psychological examination. The Review Board will conduct oral interviews on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at times to be determined.
