Businesses located in the Tamaqua Community Revitalization and Improvement Zone, or “CRIZ” are reminded to file the required state tax report on or before June 15, 2017, for calendar year 2016. Tamaqua is the only borough to have the CRIZ designation, and one of just three in the Commonwealth. The program was established by a state law in 2013 and the goal is to encourage development and revitalization. View a map of businesses in the zone now.

CRIZ legislation requires EVERY business in the zone, including LLCs, sole proprietorships, S-corps, C-corps, and non-profits, to file an annual online CRIZ Report with the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue. Failure to file will result in a $1,000 penalty from the state, so please don’t delay!
