TAMAQUA POOL PASSES
The Borough of Tamaqua is pleased to announce that the H. D. Buehler Memorial Pool will be open for swimming this summer. The pool will open in mid-June on a date to be determined.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the occupancy limit in the pool area will be reduced to 250 patrons and admittance will be limited to only Tamaqua Area School District and Panther Valley School District residents. Patrons will be expected to abide by current state and federal health guidelines.
The concession stand will not be open this year, but patrons will be allowed to bring their own food. Food and drinks are not allowed on pool sidewalks, and no glass containers of any kind are permitted anywhere in the pool area. Patrons must dispose of their own garbage. Applications for season passes for the H. D. Buehler Memorial Pool are available at the following locations: Tamaqua Post Office, Boyer’s Food Market, Fegley's Mini-Mart and Our Family Mini-Mart.
Application forms, including payment and proof of residency, must be submitted to the Tamaqua Municipal Building, 320 East Broad Street, Tamaqua, PA 18252. Checks and money
orders must be made payable to “Borough of Tamaqua”. The municipal building is currently closed to the public. Application forms and proof of residency (copy of a utility bill or driver’s license) may be sent by mail or placed in the drop box at the main entrance.
Season pool passes for residents of the Tamaqua Area School District are $10 per person. These discounted rates are made possible through a generous donation from the John E. Morgan Foundation.
Daily passes for Tamaqua Area School District residents are $5 on Monday through Friday and $6 on Saturday and Sunday. Daily passes for children under six years old are $1 per day.
